DragonSword: Awakening FAQ
Quick answers to the questions players search for most.
How does the 3-hero team combat work?
You build a team of three Heroes and switch between them mid-combo. Apply a status effect, trigger a compatible Signal Skill, swap to another hero and extend the combo through a Switching Signal.
Is DragonSword: Awakening a gacha game?
No. It was originally built as a free-to-play live-service gacha game, but developer Hound13 removed all microtransactions and gacha systems before global release. It ships as a premium buy-to-play RPG where every character and item is unlocked through story progression and exploration.
What platforms is it on?
Currently PC only, sold through Steam. There is no mobile version — the combat is designed for a full controller/keyboard experience rather than a mobile gacha layout.
How much does DragonSword: Awakening cost?
The Standard Edition is $29.99 USD on PC via Steam. A Deluxe Edition bundle is also available for roughly $44.98 USD, which adds extra cosmetics and digital content. Individual DLC / cosmetics range from $3.99 to $19.99.
Is there an energy / stamina system?
No. There is no energy system, so you can grind and explore at your own pace without timers or daily caps.
